This is an onsite position at our main office in Little Rock, Arkansas.
About the position: The Junior Data Analyst balances traditional analyst responsibilities with clinical trials data management. They conduct full lifecycle data analysis, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing queries, cleaning and analyzing data, and building reports. In addition to analyst tasks, they support clinical trials by assisting with data extraction and publishing, as well as building forms, studies, and dashboards. The role also involves working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, provide insights, and ensure data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do:
- Collects, interprets, and analyzes data using statistical techniques to generate reports and insights
- Develops and implements database schemas, analytics systems, and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Acquires data from primary and secondary sources, including data warehouses, partner organizations, and third-party integrations
- Analytics tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau to visualize and report data
- Identifies trends and patterns in complex data sets to support business decision-making
- Cleans and validates data by reviewing system reports, performance indicators, and identifying discrepancies for correction
- Collaborates with department leadership and stakeholders to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and database tools to track individual, team, and department performance
- Provides analysis of departmental metrics and KPIs, offering actionable insights to leadership
- Guides the creation and maintenance of companywide KPI and metric definitions
- Designs, builds, and maintains electronic case report forms (eCRFs), studies, dashboards, and reporting tools, managing role permissions in applications such as REDCap Cloud, Medidata Rave, and Box
- Configures study metadata, validation rules, data derivations, skip logic, alerts, and calculations for electronic data capture
- Supports data extraction, transformation, and publishing processes for clinical trials
- Implements and programs data validation plans/specifications, including SQL-based or configuration-based validation checks, and may perform manual data updates when necessary
- Works closely with clinical trial teams, researchers, and external partners to support clinical trial study data management and reporting needs
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
- Performs other duties as assigned
You should have:
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; Relevant Certifications
Experience: 2-3 years business intelligence/analytics experience
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office, Proficient Excel skills required.
Strong computer skills required.
