Employment Type: Full-Time (W-2 or 1099 Contract)

Compensation: $40/hour for both ground and flight training

Overview:

Arkansas Air Expeditions and Instruction is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) to join our team at Morrilton Municipal Airport (KBDQ) in Morrilton, Arkansas. This full-time position is ideal for aviation professionals who are committed to training the next generation of pilots while maintaining a safe and engaging environment. In addition to flight instruction, the CFI may occasionally conduct air tours as part of their duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide full-time, high-quality flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
• Develop individualized training plans tailored to students' needs and progress.
• Maintain accurate training records, lesson plans, and student progress reports.
• Conduct pre- and post-flight briefings to ensure thorough understanding of each lesson.
• Ensure the safety of all flight operations, adhering to all FAA and company safety guidelines.
• Occasionally perform air tours for customers, showcasing local landmarks and providing a memorable experience.
• Assist with student checkouts and ensure they are prepared for FAA knowledge and practical tests.
• Perform basic aircraft pre-flight inspections and report any maintenance concerns.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and best practices for flight instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to teach students effectively, with patience and enthusiasm.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt instruction to a diverse group of students with varying skill levels and learning styles.
• Current second-class medical certificate (or higher) preferred.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position based at KBDQ in Morrilton, Arkansas. The schedule will depend on student demand, with flexibility for weekend and evening instruction as needed.

Benefits and Pay Structure:

• W-2 Option: $40/hour (flight and ground instruction). No benefits are provided at this time, but may be available in the future as the company grows.
• 1099 Option: $40/hour (flight and ground instruction). Independent contractor agreement applies.
