Job Summary
The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administrator is responsible for maintaining the CMDB in SeviceNow and developing, documenting, educating, and articulating complex business requirements. Including design, implementation, strategy, development, and tactical execution of objectives. Incumbent will also contribute expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and System Mapping through analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting the development of all ITAM lifecycle phases.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. In lieu of degree, minimum five (5) years’ equivalent experience will be considered.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum five (5) years’ direct experience as a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administrator using ServiceNow's Discovery, CMDB, System Mapping, and integration.

Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as required.
- Provides training and guidance for users regarding the efficient use of the assigned database.
- Provides oversight assistance in all active and scheduled projects, including scheduling of available resources, task organization, work plan development and project-specific and overall timelines.
- Provides leadership assistance to other Database Administration team members in the effective use of database software through instructing, assigning, directing and monitoring.
- Provides consultation to Applications Development areas regarding data base and program design and implementation.
- Participates in disaster recovery testing efforts.
- Monitors production databases and assists with all issues including performance and trouble resolution.
- Assists in the development of standards for the implementation of database systems, and procedures to ensure recoverability and availability of production databases.
