Responsibilities
- Provide Professional Assistance: Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure seamless patient care, maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
- Clinical Functions: Maintain responsibility for all clinical aspects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
- Exam Room Preparation: Prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
- Supply Management: Log all removed supplies to maintain inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
- Laundry Management: Ensure adequate supply of gowns, sheets, and towels for daily operations.
- Nursing Assistance: Provide support to physicians, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, returning phone calls, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and managing prescription requests.
- EMR Documentation: Accurately enter pertinent information into the patient's electronic medical record, including medical history, allergies, current medications, and vital signs.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in injections, basic pharmacology, vital signs, sterile techniques, venipuncture, OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and setup for specific office procedures.
- Specimen Collection: Collect and process specimens for laboratory and pathology services, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Communication: Enter messages regarding patient care into the EMR and manage by nursing personnel.
- Policies and Procedures: Conform to the clinic handbook and follow office guidelines set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Clinic Purpose: Communicate the clinic's purpose to patients, physicians, and staff.
- Clinic Dress Code: Adhere to the clinic dress code.
- Meetings and Training: Attend and participate in all in-service, department, and clinic meetings.
- Recommendations and Improvements: Support management decisions and make recommendations for improvements.
- Attendance Standards: Meet attendance standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
