The Supervisor Behavioral Health supervises the behavioral health staff and provides support services to patients and their families. As a clinician the employee must be able to function as an independent practitioner, work under stressful conditions, demonstrate assertiveness skills, and be able to work well with others. Clinically must be able to perform quality assessments, have knowledge of family systems, demonstrate effective communication techniques, and be flexible in job responsibilities. Provides competent clinical oversight, leadership, and direction for individuals supervised and for the department as a whole.

Description
- Educate medical teams on behavioral supports and coordinate appropriate training for new RBTs per unit procedures.
- Monitor training and certification process and provide support/guidance for obtaining RBT credential. Provides high level of clinical supervision to staff. Coaches and mentors staff on the completion of their daily duties
- Review and complete annual performance reviews while addressing performance concerns on ongoing basis.
- Monitor skills and competency requirements and assign in ongoing education per Educator Council request in organizational learning system
- Oversee productivity and attendance expectations. Complete all HR functions for timecard, and payroll requirements.
- Documents continued reassessment of provision of plan if it indicates ongoing behavioral health follow-up.
- Provides continuity of care regardless of shift parameters until appropriate transition can occur. Seeks opportunities within and outside the Behavioral Health Department to improve overall wellbeing.
- As a leader continue to develop, facilitate, and train on principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis, crisis de-escalation, person-centered supports, and trauma-informed care.
- In an attempt to seek optimum care for the patient and establish a therapeutic relationship, the worker devises and implements appropriate interventions and plans for patients and families that are comprehensive, and outcome focused, & enhances positive social determinants of health.
