General Statement of Responsibility:
As a Crisis Call Specialist, you will:
- Provide support to help seekers across all platforms through active listening, crisis support, assessments, interventions, and resource referrals.
- Assess and determine the risk level associated with each call, text or chat, delivering appropriate evidence-based interventions.
- Document all interactions accurately and thoroughly, maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with Arkansas Crisis Center policies.
As a Trainer, you will assist the Director of Operations with:
- Training new staff and volunteers on agency policies, suicide and crisis lifeline procedures, and software.
- Conducting quarterly continuing education and training sessions for staff and volunteers.
- Recruiting and processing volunteer applications and communications.
- Training staff and community members using ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and Safe Talk methods.
Additional Requirements:
- Office at the agency’s Bentonville, AR location; Call Specialist responsibilities may be performed remotely.
- Attend staff meetings, program meetings, trainings, and fundraising or awareness events.
- Participate in out-of-state ASIST train-the-trainer sessions and other necessary training.
- Provide a minimum of 6 community presentations/outreach activities per year.
- Fulfill after-hours Director on Call duties as assigned.
- Assist with the agency's quality assurance efforts by reviewing and evaluating crisis interactions across all platforms.
