- Conduct historic structure surveys along highway corridors
- Assist with the analysis and National Register of Historic Places eligibility determinations of historic structural resources
- Generate associated report documentation
- GPS data collection
- Analysis of records, sources, historic maps, aerial imagery, and field data
Minimum Requirements
Student pursuing the educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree from a program of study accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Accreditation Education (CHEA) and completion of 60 college hours toward this degree. Students must be majoring in architectural history, historic preservation, or a closely related field, and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0. Valid driver's license. Ability to travel/stay overnight for extended periods of time; Proactive and able to work independently; Dependable, well-organized, and detail-oriented; Basic computer skills; Basic knowledge of use of GPS equipment; Physical ability to withstand fieldwork in various weather conditions, including ability to traverse rugged terrain
