Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Under immediate supervision, this position is responsible for learning and assisting in surveying tasks as required.

APPLICABLE TO SURVEYS FIELD POSITION:
- Assist in the use of survey instruments, calculators, automated electronic data collectors, and GPS equipment.
- Train in reading and plotting land descriptions and the use of computers.
- Perform field reconnaissance for Public Land Survey System (PLSS) monuments.
- Learn and assist with plotting survey data on plan sheets.
- Train in reading and plotting land descriptions and the use of computers.
Minimum Requirements
Student pursuing the educational equivalent of an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a program of study accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Accreditation Education (CHEA), and completion of 30 college hours toward this degree. Students must be majoring in a highly technical curriculum or advanced degree in the area surveying/spatial information systems and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0. Valid driver's license required.
