**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team at Arkansas Government Job. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will be responsible for developing and administering Individualized Plans for Employment (IPEs) and providing counseling, training, and/or placement services to eligible individuals. Your expertise will help our clients achieve their vocational goals and improve their employability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work with clients to monitor progress toward job placement and job retention
- Complete new intake/applications and explain services, rights, and responsibilities
- Determine eligibility for VR services in accordance with policy
- Provide counseling and guidance
- Document case management activities
- Maintain confidentiality of records
- Assist clients to develop Individualized Plans for Employment (IPEs)
- Maintain an average caseload of 40 active cases
- Develop first IPEs for consumers entering Service Status
- Plan and manage case service funds
- Complete agency reports
- Demonstrate collaborative activities
- Participate in in-service trainings and represent the agency on task forces, committees, and local Workforce Boards
**Requirements:**
- The formal education equivalent of a master's degree in education, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or counselor education
- Two years of experience in counseling or a related field
- Licensed as a Professional Counselor by the Board of Examiners in Counseling or certified as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
