Description:
Successful candidates will perform procedures related to audits,financial compliance, and assessments for local and state government.
Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Have an understanding of basic accounting knowledge and how transactions flow through a general ledger and financial statements.
- Strong communication skills both in writing and in person.
- Analyze audit documentation
- Ability to understand and assess internal controls
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting
- Eligible to sit for the CPA examination
- Minimum GPA of a 3.0 or higher, either overall or in accounting classes, is strongly desired.
