Critical member of the Operations Team responsible for leading, structuring, and supporting all Auxiliary Departments including but not limited to Food and Nutrition Services, Facilities/Environmental Team, Safety & Compliance on the school campus as well as participating actively in the life and culture of the Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools, by engaging in scholar life and supporting the educational environment to ensure the school site runs smoothly so that teaching & learning occurs.

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities:

- Ensures all Auxiliary support services provide best-in-class customer service while achieving operational efficiency and financial targets
- Directly manages and is responsible for coaching and mentoring of Environmental Staff
- Oversee Custodian OT Salary budget towards a 5% annual savings in expenses
- Campus safe and operational one week before FDOS
- Manage and oversee the internal inventory system of custodian supplies to within 5% of budget
- On both internal facilities audits performed 2x a year the OMAS must receive a score of 90% or greater.
- All members of the campus custodian team must have a comprehensive schedule of daily tasks.
- Manage and oversee the internal inventory system of custodian supplies.
- Responsible for ensuring the campus is 100% BOY ready based on BOY readiness Criteria for Success
- Scheduling and execution of building refresh during scheduled breaks
- Responsible for ensuring all Evacuation Maps are updated and installed prior to FDOS
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all school facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all buildings and equipment
- Supervise custodial staff and coordinate cleaning schedules to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws
- Coordinate with school leadership to plan and manage facility improvement projects and renovations
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving measures
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting school operations
- Work with outside vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services
- Maintain an inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies needed for facility maintenance
- Ensure school safety through regular inspections, risk assessments, and collaboration with administration on emergency preparedness
- Develop and implement energy-efficient practices to reduce operational costs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, construction management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and relevant safety regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work with budgets and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using facility management software and basic computer applications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
- Certification in facilities management (CFM) or related field
- Experience in project management and vendor negotiations
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy efficiency initiatives
