Job Overview
The Arkansas & Missouri Railroad is seeking to employ a Track Foreman for our MOW Department. The person in this position oversees crews in the performance of track maintenance and is responsible for oversight of both maintenance and repair activities surrounding the maintenance-of-way (MOW) job or project functions. The focus will be to inspect, repair, and maintain the railroad track infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient service to our customers. Responsibilities include training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. The track foreman will be required to work safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Direct and manage the day-to-day activities of the MOW crew.
- Engage with others to ensure efficient and organized operations of the railroad along with maintenance of the track.
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures; use PPE and keep required records.
- Monitor and closely control all maintenance and other related costs associated with MOW work.
- Assist to ensure department meets its track, signal, and capital-projects service goals.
- Inspect, unload, load, distribute, pick-up, install cross ties, switch ties, other track material and ballast. Grind, and transpose rail.
- Remove, construct, maintain and repair turnouts.
- Surface, gauge, line and shift track.
- Inspect, protect, flag, construct, install, maintain, and repair road crossings.
- Repair and construct culverts and tunnels.
- Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license to drive on company business.
- Subject to motor vehicle report review.
- Must pass a background screening
- CDL preferred
- Experience with heavy hand tools
- One to three years of related Railroad industry experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ascend and descend steps and ladders to get on and off the equipment.
- Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Able to push and pull with up to 100lbs of force.
- Able to pass hearing and vision evaluation.
- Mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
- Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
