Position Overview:
The Communications-Website Manager at ARORP will develop and implement a communications
strategy for ARORP and supported brands including AR Take Back, ReviveAR, and Together Arkansas.
The Communications-Website Manager is tasked with both organizational and creative responsibilities
to standardize and enhance the organization’s communication efforts. This role also encompasses
comprehensive website management, including oversight of the ARORP, AR Take Back, Revive AR,
Together AR Website and processes, including all ARORP’s social media content and site.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business administration, public relations, or a related field.

- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing, sales copy, and social media.
- Professional expertise in crisis management and high-pressure situations.

- Excellent project management abilities, including time management, goal-setting, multitasking, and prioritization.

Key Responsibilities:
Communication Management:
- Brand Voice Development:
- Collaborate with various teams to establish and maintain the public voice of the ARORP brand.
- Create and enforce style guides and brand voice outlines for public relations, marketing, advertising, and other key departments.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Work with executive management to develop effective communication policies and procedures for different situations, including crisis management.
Content Creation:
- Research, prepare, and edit press releases, speeches, letters, brochures, fact sheets, interdepartmental memos, and other business correspondence.
- Develop and distribute press kits and manage relationships with media outlets and journalists.
- Develop a social media plan for ARORP and related brands (ReviveAR, Take Back, Together Arkansas).
- Create graphics and produce video content as needed.
- Prepare presentations and handouts for ARORP speaking engagements and tabling
- Design and lay out publications, coordinate printing activities, and edit articles for inclusion in agency newsletters and other publications.
Staff Training:
- Develop materials and conduct training sessions to educate staff on best communication practices.
- Coach and support team members in enhancing their communication skills.
Research and Monitoring:
- Conduct communications research and monitor the effectiveness of various communication strategies.
- Monitor ARORP involved releases, advertising strategy, and content delivery
Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, employee, and public interest groups.
- Respond to information requests from the media, websites, and conduct tours topresent information about agency functions.
Event Planning and Representation:
- Assist in managing the ARORP Director and Deputy Director’s speaking and engagement calendar.
- Assist in securing, preparing for, and negotiating speaking opportunities.
- Plan, organize, and/or attend conferences, seminars, workshops, and press conferences.
- Maintain files of agency-related news articles, mailing lists, website updates, and directory listings.
- Represent the agency during crisis situations, at trade shows, and other community activities.
Public Functions:
Supervision and Performance:
- Ensure ARORP sections adhere to all performance oversight aspects.
- Provide guidance and instruction to ARORP benefactors as appropriate in the conduct of their job duties with ARORP’s Brand.
Website Management:
Brand Alignment and Strategy:
- Ensure the website aligns with ARORP’s brand, strategy, and standards.
- Create strategies to improve website traffic and user experience.
Content Management:
- Audit content to remove duplicates and ensure accuracy.
- Develop and update website content to support organizational goals and strategies.
Technical Management:
- Perform regular tests to ensure website efficiency and quality.
- Implement security measures and monitor for security breaches, responding as necessary.
- Keep the website’s domain and hosting registration current.
- Frequently update website coding to maintain functionality.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure the website complies with relevant laws and regulations.
- Follow industry best practices in website management.
Campaign and Management:
- Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts.
User Experience and Issue Resolution:
- Identify ways to improve website user experience.
- Produce sitemaps to visualize website structure and functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain physical and digital records for ARORP including printing, labeling, and filing.
- Download, print, and label all incoming applications and ARORP reports.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
