Job Summary - No Guardrail experience Necessary.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guardrail Foreman to lead a crew in the installation, maintenance, and removal of guardrail systems on highway and road construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway safety systems, leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of DOT specifications and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise, lead, and coordinate a crew during guardrail installation, ensuring efficiency and safety.
· Interpret construction drawings and specifications to execute accurate guardrail placement and alignment.
· Maintain quality control by ensuring all work meets DOT and project standards.
· Enforce all job site safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper use of PPE.
· Manage and track materials, minimizing waste and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
· Oversee or operate equipment such as post drivers, skid steers, and trucks, ensuring proper maintenance and operation.
· Maintain clear communication with project managers regarding progress, delays, and crew performance.
· Complete daily reports, timecards, and material usage logs accurately.
· Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid delays.
Qualifications
· 2 year of supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
· Proficient in operating construction equipment and hand tools.
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
· Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
