Position Summary:
The Fiscal Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of various fiscal division programs by establishing work priorities and standards of performance, and supervising staff. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws, and institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of non-student accounts receivable invoices
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable balances, including aging reports and analysis
- Reconcile assigned accounts, including making recommendations to Treasurer and others for improvements or corrections
- Prepare daily incoming check log for cashiering operations
- Assist and advise the Treasurer with month end and/or year end journal entries and reporting
- Serve as a backup to the Cashier Supervisor, including being trained to assist in preparation of the deposit book for bank reconciliations
- Serve as a backup to the Director of Treasury Services as needed
- Assist with reporting and analysis of student data to provide information to the Treasurer and Director of Student Financial Services
- Conduct additional financial analysis in support of the office’s efficient and effective operation
- Work with the Director of Treasury Services to complete year end journal entries and reporting
- Develop dashboards and other analytical solutions to support operations
- Manage departmental ordering and budget monitoring; serves as the office’s financial lead
- Assist if needed with student inquiries during peak seasons
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer service skills
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of database accounting and management principles, applicable laws and regulations of assigned section, computers and software application programs, and customer service techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel and Word
Ability to record fiscal data and manipulate data to generate complex reports and documents and conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a business related field.
Two (2) years of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or related experience.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
