Position Summary:
The Fiscal Support Manager is responsible for supervising the activities of fiscal support personnel within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws and institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the billing, collecting, and receipting of third party student accounts receivables
- Process and maintain TAA/JTPA/Dept. of Workforce Service Contracts for students
- Process silver scholar exemptions, scholarship and international student waivers
- Creates and maintains special accounts receivable reports used for analyzing delinquent accounts
- Process appeals
- Directs, manages, and monitors fee assessment for the university
- Counsels students and employees on payment plans and billing issues
- Performs related duties as assigned or required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of staff development and supervision principles, department operations, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and software application programs, database management, and accounting principles.
Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reports, plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department of programs, and plan and direct the work of others.
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in general business, business administration, finance, or a related field.
One (1) year of fiscal related experience.
Other job related education and/or experience may by substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
