Position Summary:
Position is located on the ASU - Beebe Campus
The instructor will teach ECH/ELED and MLED methods and foundation education courses, Middle-Level programmatic courses, and supervise Field Experiences and Interns in K-8 classrooms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teaching 15 hour load per semester, including supervision of interns and field experiences; courses reflect foundational and methods courses for Elementary and Middle Level teacher education; online teaching will be expected
- Advising
- Coordinating the Beebe A-State Teacher Education Program
- Serving on committees
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
The ability to work well with students, faculty, and public school teachers and administrators
Interpersonal skills needed for working with college students, particularly non-traditional students
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience at a university level in a professional teacher education program
- Experience in Middle-Level programming and Grades 4-8 teaching
- Experience with diverse populations
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Master's Degree in Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, or fields closely associated to teaching
Three (3) years of successful teaching experience as a public school classroom teacher in some of grades K-8
