Position Summary :
Dr. Andrew Sweet received a National Science Foundation (NSF) award titled "Collaborative Research : Unraveling the phylogenetic and evolutionary patterns of fragmented mitochondrial genomes in parasitic lice." The Biological Sciences Department at A-State is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to help fulfill the requirements of the grant.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Generation and analysis of genomic sequence data, comparative genomic analysis of mitochondrial and nuclear genomes
- Helping to oversee similar activities among multiple research labs
The successful candidate will also be involved in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. Will be expected to publish their research in peer-reviewed academic journals and present results at national and international conferences.
