Position Summary :
Arkansas State University seeks a dynamic leader for the position of Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management (VCEM) to build on two consecutive years of record-breaking growth. The VCEM reports directly to Chancellor Todd Shields, serves as a member of the A-State executive cabinet, and is expected to work collaboratively across campus to implement innovative recruiting, financial aid and enrollment marketing strategies for the university. The successful candidate will lead Undergraduate Admissions, International Programs Recruitment, Concurrent Programs, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and Enrollment Marketing.
Duties & Responsibilities :
The individual chosen as VCEM will have a proven background and experience for fulfilling these responsibilities :
- The undergraduate admissions process, and training and development of a multifaceted staff with a significant drive to succeed
- The recruitment and retention of international students, and the ability to work with agents and programs in other countries
- Utilizing various types of marketing methods, brand development, audience segmentation, communication campaigns, and budget management, while working collaboratively with A-State’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
- Creating financial aid packages and the ability to project models that meet and exceed net revenue goals,
- The ability to make data-driven decisions combined with instincts and conviction to know in which direction to lead
- Partnering with other departments, such as Alumni Relations, to develop collaborative admissions initiatives

Minimum Qualifications :
An earned master’s degree in student affairs, educational leadership, or related field from a regionally accredited institution
Five to Seven years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in enrollment or advising services or related activities at a college or university comparable to Arkansas State University
Demonstrated experience with development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and enrollment strategy to recruit and enroll prospective students and retention of current students
