Arkansas Talent Group is searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Controllerto lead the financial operations of our mid-sized organization. The Controller will oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure the organization's financial health. This role involves managing a high-performing finance team, streamlining processes, and providing strategic insights to senior management to support growth and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, forecasts, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and provide variance analysis to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax laws while staying updated on relevant regulations.
- Coordinate audits (internal and external) and act as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and productivity.
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
