Position Summary :
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Campus Life and the Student Union, the successful candidate will contribute to the co-curricular education, success, and retention of students attending Arkansas Tech University by effectively overseeing the Greek experience.
Arkansas Tech is currently home to thirteen national Greek letter organizations with three councils (NPC, IFC, and NPHC) and one Greek honor society (Order of Omega).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Oversee the process of event and fundraiser registration for fraternities and sororities
Advise and support the Greek community by working intensively with their governing councils and honor society, especially in the areas of action planning and co-curricular development
Oversee budgets for Greek governing councils and the Greek honor society
Maintain contact with advisors, actively involving them in the student development process
Guide organizations as they plan various events
Assist organizations in understanding and adhering to campus policies and serve as a conduct advisor when appointed
Actively encourage student involvement in other campus organizations, traditions, and events
Represent the Greek community at organization fairs, orientation sessions or classes, recognition banquets, etc.
Supervise graduate assistant and practicum students assigned to the area of Greek Life
Coordinate effectively with other offices on campus
Create and maintain Greek marketing materials and campaigns
Assess relevant programs and initiatives
Serve on committees within the department, division and the University
Manage multiple projects with attention to detail and priority
Conduct basic website maintenance
Evening and weekend work required as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Minimum Requirements :
Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or related field.
Direct experience working with or being involved with fraternities and sororities, student involvement programming, and student leadership development programs on a college campus
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong working knowledge of National Panhellenic Conference and North-American Interfraternity Conference policies and best practices
Experience with Greek membership selection processes and risk management procedures
Experience with advising student organizations
Ability to mediate conflict and advocate for students
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, faculty, and staff from a broad range of programs and disciplines
Proven track record of showing compassion, a positive attitude, patience, and respect for others, as well as, sensitivity to multicultural issues
Proven track record of creating a collaborative and creative work and team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the willingness to learn the campus computer software for student information and other administrative systems
Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands :
Maintain office hours in the Department of Campus Life Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Night and weekend work is required to effectively administer programs.
