Position Summary :
This position is responsible for the general carpentry repairs at ATU. This work includes, but is not limited to, roof work, drywall installation, drywall patching, painting, roadway striping, window covering installation, window replacement, door installation, door maintenance, ceiling system repairs, and other associated tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist with supervising the carpentry crew, and the work they are performing.
Manage the day-to-day carpentry crew work orders and tasks.
Procure needed supplies and parts to complete maintenance tasks.
Manage safety for all crew members.
Work with customers to take care of issues, and avoid any future issues.
Interact with a wide variety of people in a way that positively portrays ATU and Facilities Management.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong verbal / written communication skills.
Proven leadership skills.
Experience working with a team.
Experience with general construction or carpentry practices.
Experience with locks and doors.
Minimum Requirements :
High school diploma, or equivalent.
At least five years of customer service experience.
At least five years of carpentry repair, or construction, experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Sargent or Corbin Russwin key systems.
Experience with roadway repair, or painting.
A high level of customer service experience.
