Certification and Qualifications
- BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
- PALS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
- A Colorado Registered Nurse license is required.
- Arrhythmia competency must be completed within six months of hire.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ICU setting.
- Communicate with physicians, nursing directors, and coworkers about changes in a patient's clinical condition.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Perform general nursing duties in all departments under adequate supervision.
Work Environment
- The ICU setting requires head-to-toe assessments on all patients.
