The Company
Arketa is a wellness business platform built for the hybrid world. Our mission is to increase access to wellness by helping studios grow beyond classes. We make it easy for studios & wellness entrepreneurs to share their love of movement with the world.
Unlike other software, Arketa offers clean & easy-to-use software tools for wellness entrepreneurs & studios to easily set their schedules, accept bookings & payments, create on demand video libraries, host retreats, text, do email marketing and grow their businesses in-person and online. Arketa offers branded apps and websites so your customers have a consistent experience across all mediums.
It's a exciting time for Arketa – there is a big market for hybrid wellness solutions that Arketa is perfectly positioned to capture. We’ve raised a $6M seed round led by First Round Capital, and we’re growing fast. We’re building an NYC-based team, and we’re looking for people who want to inspire and empower a healthier world.
The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on finance leader to build Arketa’s finance function from the ground up. As our first finance hire, you’ll drive financial planning, partner with leadership on strategic decisions, and lay the foundation for a high-performing finance organization. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to guide Arketa through our next phase of growth.
Financial Planning & Modeling\ Build and maintain our operating model, annual plan, and rolling forecasts. Own revenue modeling, margin analysis, scenario planning, and budget management across departments. Keep teams accountable to targets while enabling fast, informed decision-making.
Strategic Finance & Investor Relations\ Support fundraising efforts, investor updates, and board presentations with accurate forecasts and clear financial storytelling. Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
Financial Operations\ Partner with external accounting, payroll, and finance vendors to manage A/P, A/R, payroll, and month-end close. Implement processes that are scalable, efficient, and accurate. Ensure we’re tracking the right data, at the right time, to guide the business. Ensure timely and accurate commission payouts to the sales team, aligning with comp plans and performance.
Internal Operations & People Support\ Work cross-functionally with legal, people ops, and external vendors to manage contracts, insurance, and compliance. Provide input on HR processes including headcount planning, compensation benchmarking, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
Business Partnering & Special Projects\ Collaborate with department heads to evaluate new product lines, pricing strategies, and growth investments. Use data to drive clarity, reduce friction, and unlock upside across the company.
