Job Summary
The Senior Acquisition Specialist works with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and/or Senior Executives, providing contract management related services.
Essential Functions
Asset and records management, administrative support, communications and outreach support, acquisition training support, and acquisition analysis support.
Prepare supporting communications and other documentation utilizing Microsoft Office capabilities including Word, PowerPoint, Office Mail, and Excel, Microsoft Project and Access
Assist in the budget development process to capture all funded and unfunded requirements and identify opportunities for streamlining contract actions.
Communicates and follows established procedures and routines relative to office operations and procedures
Support division priorities as requested including supporting strategic initiatives and managing priority taskings.
Job Specifications
The Senior Acquisition Specialist will facilitate help desk tasks. In addition to preparing, reviewing, sending and tracking electronic, verbal and written communications from a variety of documents and electronic files in a variety of formats. The Senior Acquisition Specialist shall respond to information requests, including taskers and other reporting requirements. This includes, independently research, resolve, or recommend solutions to routine issues in performing a variety of duties related to special projects involving acquisition. The Senior Acquisition Analyst is responsible for gathering metrics of Procurement Request (PR) packages in all stages of the PR process; identify and assist in resolving issues with responsible parties to ensure progress is being made; elevating high-priority or at-risk to award PR packages to leaderships attention providing recommendation for corrective action.
Education
- BA/BS or higher in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources
- Development, Psychology, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical disciplines.
Experience
- 10 - 15 years of experience in developing file management plans, property/asset management plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint
- Must be able to pass DHS Suitability
