Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, as well as experience with commercial driving and operating box trucks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route completed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist with moving items as needed, which may include heavy lifting.
- Utilize a forklift when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar courier role is preferred.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory for all positions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks and basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageous.
