Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of products to customers, ensuring that items are transported safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service and be comfortable with heavy lifting and warehouse operations. This position requires teamwork, physical stamina, and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Delivery Driver in loading and unloading products from the delivery vehicle.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move heavy items safely.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
- Help with inventory management by checking off items during loading and unloading processes.
- Support the team in various warehouse tasks as needed, including packing and sorting products.
Requirements
- Experience with moving or delivery operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating a box truck or commercial driving is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience using pallet jacks or forklifts is advantageous.
- Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on specific job duties.
