Commercial Concrete Junior Estimator

Arledge Construction Inc (ACI) is a Premier Commercial Concrete Contractor in the Central Ohio area. We are seeking an Estimator to join our team. We are willing to train the right candidate but are also interested in talking to someone that has experience. The successful candidate will assist the Estimating staff with all aspects of estimating, including quantity takeoff, pricing and bidding of commercial concrete projects ranging from 100K – 5 million dollars.

Key Responsibilities:

· Receives records, and responds to bid invitations, downloads job drawings, solicits material quotes from suppliers, reviews plans and specifications.

· Builds estimate from database in estimating software through identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.

· Completes accurate, thorough takeoff of all concrete scope items throughout bid documents.

· Presents takeoff to estimating staff and assists in formulating detailed, timely, accurate bid.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Knowledge of construction documents and blueprints is preferred.

· Working knowledge of estimating concepts, technology, and tools.

· Extremely detail oriented and thorough.

· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

· Bachelors or associates degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent experience and education is preferred.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and estimating software.

· Able to communicate clearly orally and in writing one-on-one and when presenting to a group.

· Experience with Procontractor estimating software or previous concrete estimating experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
