In this role, you will be responsible for accurately generating and entering billing information for all medical visits.
Your primary duties will include reconciling charges, ensuring data entry accuracy, and collaborating with the Accounts Receivable Manager to collect payments from various sources including Medicaid, PPO, HMO, Private Insurance, and fee-for-service revenue.
You will also be involved in appealing denied claims, resolving issues, and preparing claims for resubmission.

Your primary duties will include reconciling charges, ensuring data entry accuracy, and collaborating with the Accounts Receivable Manager to collect payments from various sources including Medicaid, PPO, HMO, Private Insurance, and fee-for-service revenue.
You will also be involved in appealing denied claims, resolving issues, and preparing claims for resubmission.
Responsibilities
- Accurate Data Entry: Enter all medical visits into the practice management EHR Medical Billing System, ensuring correct provider, facility, medical service, and coding details.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile all charges and data entered into the system, maintaining 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Accounts Receivable: Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager in collecting payments from various revenue sources, and follow up on unpaid claims and denied claims for resubmission.
- Claims Management: Submit claims to insurance companies daily, appealing denied claims, troubleshooting issues, and preparing claims for rebilling.
- Auditing and Compliance: Audit claims daily to ensure timely collections, review EOBs to ensure compliance with billing practices, and follow billing policy guidelines and documented procedures.
- Documentation: File all correspondence into patients' charts and maintain confidentiality of patient information and company records.
- Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely, both internally with employees and managers, and externally with insurance companies and patients.
- Bilingual Skills: Being bilingual in English/Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
- Professionalism: Uphold a positive and professional image, demonstrate proficiency in various computer applications, and adhere to safe work practices and company policies related to job safety.
- High School Diploma or GED; related college coursework encouraged.
- Medical Billing and Coding Certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to plan and prioritize tasks.
- Self-motivated, independent, and flexible with the ability to take initiative.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including E-mail, Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet, and networking devices.
- Dependable transportation, automobile insurance, and a current FL Driver License.
Salary : $12 - $20
