A minimum age of 16 is required
JOB SPECIFIC INFORMATION
- Assists with educational, recreational, interpretive, crafts, and camp activities
- Assists in creating an activity agenda for summer camp groups for which the employee is directly responsible
- Comfortable with learning and delivering historical knowledge to elementary-aged children
- Assists in organizing and structuring large and small group activities
- Sets up, cleans up, and puts away materials and equipment at the beginning, during, and end of programs
- Enforces safety rules during the camp activities
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with inquiry-based teaching and engaging diverse audiences, including children and families.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings; camp or history camp experience preferred.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
