Job Title: Engineer Reports To: Chief Engineer
Department: Property Operations Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Engineer will provide quality day to day maintenance to the hotel at the direction of the Chief Engineer.
Job Duties:
- Analyze maintenance problems and choose the best course of action, then implement the solution with available resources
- Estimate time and material required, keep records and submit reports of work performed
- Perform repair and maintenance including, but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, moving furniture and equipment, roofing, and drywall
- Properly maintain all tools and equipment, return tools and equipment to shop and secure in proper storage area. Keep work area clean and organized
- React quickly and responsibly to any emergency
- Continually strive to maintain a safe and accident free work environment for associates and guests.
- Follow all company and OSHA guidelines regarding safety and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- One to three years commercial maintenance experience
- HVAC and or electrical skills required (prefer both)
- Plumbing experience
- Boiler license preferred
- Must be able to work a varied schedule
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be able to climb stairs. Must be able to work in the heat and cold
