Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
• Maintain restrooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
• Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adhering to safety and health regulations.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and commercial cleaning standards is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new cleaning techniques or procedures.

Pay: $15.01 - $18.63 per hour
