POSITION: High School Mathematics Teacher
LOCATION: Arlington High School
POSITION GOAL: To provide mathematics instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards.

EMPLOYMENT: Arlington Education Association Bargaining Unit Position
REPORTS TO: K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director (primary) and building principals (contributing).
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Arlington Education Association Contract. The K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director will complete evaluations with support from the building principals.
Arlington has a well established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year.
Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association.
The Salary Schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience.

Qualifications
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Secondary level (Moderate Disabilities or Severe Disabilities)
- Degrees in Mathematics and Education preferred
- Computer Science content knowledge and teaching experience desired
- Experience working with students at the High School Level.
- Teach five sections of mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus . . .
- Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction, grading, communication to parents and families
- Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrator.
