LVN Charge Nurse 6am-6pm

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring that high-quality healthcare services are delivered efficiently. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
• Conduct assessments of patients’ conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including airway management and gastric lavage when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate case management and enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Manage behavioral health cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards.
• Participate in training and mentoring of new nursing staff, promoting best practices in nursing care.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

• Previous experience in an ER or hospital setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in airway management techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with case management processes and behavioral health practices is advantageous.
• Experience with gastric lavage procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Prior travel nursing experience may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
• Certification in sonography or related fields is considered an asset.

Pay: $29.20 - $30.00 per hour
