We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including airway management and gastric lavage when necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate case management and enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage behavioral health cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards.
- Participate in training and mentoring of new nursing staff, promoting best practices in nursing care.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in an ER or hospital setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in airway management techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with case management processes and behavioral health practices is advantageous.
- Experience with gastric lavage procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Prior travel nursing experience may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Certification in sonography or related fields is considered an asset.
