Arlington/Roe & Co., Inc., a family-owned property/casualty wholesaler and managing general agency since 1964, has an outstanding opportunity for a Software System Support Specialist at our corporate headquarters located on the north side of Indianapolis, IN.
Education
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
Key Focus Areas
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates interest and aptitude in the following areas:
- Relational Database Concepts
A foundational understanding of relational database principles is required, including basic application and troubleshooting. SQL experience and ability is a plus. - Help Desk Support
A strong passion for providing exceptional technical support to end users, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. - Growth in Project, Integration, and Automation Technologies
Interest in participating in projects involving: - New and existing automation tools.
- Integration efforts within our proprietary software systems.

Essential Functions
- Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone, e-mail, and tech-support portal in a courteous manner related to our proprietary software.
- Follow up on end-user pending transactions in the proprietary system that need to be processed.
- Maintain proprietary software administrative tasks, including but not limited to new products, user profiles, registry, record transfers, and templates.
- Create and maintain online forms using form-building software.
- Develop and maintain training documentation for both end users and system administrators.
- Use screen capture software to create videos for end-user training.
- Maintain the SQL Reporting Web Service portal for automated report delivery.
- Conduct software quality control system testing.
- Provide end-user training within our insurance proprietary software.
- Support new integrations and participate in project roles.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
- O365 SharePoint experience.
- Basic knowledge of telephone and video conferencing systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
