Teacher, Special Ed Job Summary Arlington School is looking for creative dynamic individuals to join our team. We have immediate openings for special education teacher positions. We are a therapeutic day school program for students in grades 9-12. Arlington School special education teachers provide content instruction as well as academic supports for students in a teacher to student classroom ratio of 1:5. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating to provide a vibrant, supportive learning community for our student population with emotional disabilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must. Primary responsibilities include: Providing differentiated instruction in selected academic subjects for students with a range of learning styles and abilities Managing classroom environment Participating in IEP development Promoting high standards and expectations for students’ achievement. Qualifications: Current Massachusetts license for teacher of students with moderate disabilities grades 5-12, or teacher of students with severe disabilities.
