Description of the role:
The Director of Housekeeping at Arlo Chicago is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Manage and train a team of housekeeping staff, including conducting regular performance evaluations
- Supervise and inspect the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of housekeeping services
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and worked with the Finance department to order necessary items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a housekeeping management role
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
