Summary/Objective:
The Arlon Graphics Maintenance Team is looking for a highly skilled Systems Technician to join us at our over 200K sqft facility located in Placentia, CA. We are investing in our department by purchasing spare parts, providing team training, and upgrading/retrofitting old and obsolete equipment and this position will be a key addition to our team. As a Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the design, development, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical and electronic control systems. You will work alone and with different teams that can include Maintenance Technicians, Production Engineers, Operators/Supervisors, and Contractors. In this position you will be expected to be able to work under general supervision, receiving occasional instruction or assistance as new or atypical situations arise. This role requires strong electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance and Non-PM work orders to maintain equipment up-time.
- Suggest the addition of PM tasks based on review of controls related downtime.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other components connected to those systems.
- Read, and interpret P&ID's and wiring diagrams to locate, identify, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems, interlocks, etc.
- Work with a variety of groups to diagnose equipment malfunction in a timely manner.
- Install, maintain, repair, and replace electronic and electrical components of equipment and machinery.
- Install conduits, wires, pull boxes, switchboards, controllers, and switches required in making minor additions, extensions or alterations in industrial electrical systems.
- Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for personal protection and protection of fellow workers.
- Complete written and electronic records (i.e., work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document work in progress and work completed.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed, including after hours.
- Participate in plant shutdowns as needed, including holidays and weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills in the English language (written, verbal, inter-personal)
- 10 years of experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs.
- Experience with Parker drives.
- Network experience with switches and EthernetIP.
- Experience in modifying HMIs.
- Experience with tuning PIDs.
- Experience with winding machines.
- Knowledge and experience with industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control and VFDs.
- Coordinate work assignments with other departments and employees.
Pay Transparency:
The current pay range for this position is between $35.00 - $39.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
