Overview:
The Technical Service Wrap & Print Specialist is responsible for supporting Arlon and its customers by recommending product solutions, addressing technical inquiries, and troubleshooting issues. This role also involves conducting product testing and evaluations, assisting in the development of various film products, managing product claims, and providing insights on product warranties related to printing and installation techniques. Additionally, this position will gather and relay customer feedback to Arlon's internal departments to help create superior product solutions. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Arlon's expertise in graphic film design and installation.
General Responsibilities:
- Support customers’ technical inquiries to recommend product solutions, as well as provide technical support for printing, laminating, installing, troubleshooting and removal of the graphic films. The Technical Service Wrap & Print Specialist will educate customers in the best practices.
- Conduct product evaluation and analysis on Arlon and competitor products to provide insights on film installation characteristics, performance, and experience.
- Provide voice of customers feedback to internal Arlon departments to support new product development and competitive benchmarking.
- Operate lab equipment to conduct standard film property testing. Analyze test data to present findings.
- Generate detailed report on technical findings, customer visits and test results.
- Support product warranty insights related to installation technique and performance expectations.
- Support 3rd party certification testing.
- Assist internal Arlon team to resolve claim investigation.
- Create and contribute to a library of tips and techniques for installation best practices including instructional guides and tutorial videos.
- Conduct on-site or virtual customers visits with Sales or independently, as needed, to perform training, tech support as well or testing of new products at customers sites.
- Provide training to Sales or customers where required.
- Support trade shows and events as needed.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of vinyl installation experience or equivalent in related industry
- High school diploma or GED
- Vehicle vinyl wrap installation experience
- Working knowledge of the wide format graphic production process; including printing and finishing
- Ability to prioritize and work independently as a self-starter with strong proactive work ethics.
- Demonstrate accountability for successful and timely completion of designated tasks.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation)
- Technical and working knowledge of vinyl applications in graphic film industry.
- Great communicator [English language] – listening, speaking, inter-personal, presentation
Additional Education, Background and Experience:
- Knowledge of digital printers and color management. (Knowledge of digital large format print production and color management.)
- Skilled in vehicle wrap graphic design and layout. (Adobe Ai, Ps, Vehicle outline template)
- Commercial knowledge of a wrap shop business.
- Expert demonstration of vinyl wrap installation.
- Working knowledge of printing, laminating, and surface technology.
Pay Transparency:
The current pay range for this position is between $28.00 - $38.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
