What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Technician position at ARM CAMCO LLC?
ARM CAMCO is seeking to hire an Electrical Technician who is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, cleaning, and reconditioning various electrical/mechanical equipment in the shop and on field projects. Equipment worked on includes, but not limited to, electronic devices, relays, breakers, switchgear, and transformers. The Electrical Technician will perform the work on projects that is according to procedures and instructions, following all safety guidelines, completed on time, and of exceptional quality.
Responsibilities:
- Complete required product assembly, modification, refurbishment or repair per specific instructions. Seek out clarification and support from supervisor or peers as necessary.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and/or equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Work safely at all times while following appropriate OSHA, MSHA, CAMCO and customer specific rules and regulations.
- Use technical expertise and acquired experience to complete required workscope on each customer order.
- Complete required product testing as required and document results accordingly.
- Follow ISO 9001 standard procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area at all times.
- Accurately enter project work time and maintain project data in the ERP system.
- Travel as necessary to perform field service projects.
- Assist with any customer-related needs within all operations of the company as required.
- Effectively communicate with internal team members, external partners, and clients to ensure that all client needs are met or exceeded.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Motivated self-starter who is interested in learning new skills.
- Good mathematical skills with the ability to analyze data and confirm product quality.
- Great organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel, within a specific region (50%). Occasionally, some overnight travel will be required.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced technical training and/or degree in electronics, mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Experience with industrial electrical equipment application, service, repair or manufacturing.
- Ability to read & interpret specifications and electrical wiring diagram/schematics.
- Experience with basic computer programs (Word, Excel) and/or ERP systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to include, but not limited to, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
