Duties & Responsibilities :
The Instructional Systems Specialist shall assist in coordinating, installing, and maintaining instructional systems on EDU and commercial networks. The instructional system capabilities shall comply with all DOD, Navy, and NWC requirements for security and Information Assurance protection.The Instructional Systems Specialist shall provide and perform a full range of instructional system services support for curricula development, implementation, maintenance and sustainment of all instructional system support services required.The Instructional Systems Specialist shall provide support to include but not be limited : assist with course creation and management; assist faculty, staff, and students with accessing online classrooms; develop best practices for online delivery and supplementation of courses; ensure complete and accurate data exchange between instructional systems and the NWC Student Information System database; assist with development and launch support for electronically delivered classes (both synchronous and asynchronous), enhance online learning processes by applying the latest technologies to support teaching, learning, and research; help develop and provide recommendations for user interface, sequencing of online instruction, use of assessments, course materials, and activities.Others duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
Extensive experience with digital audio and video production as well as graphic design using industry-standard technology such as Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.Extensive knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, and Adobe FlashFamiliarity with instructional authoring software (Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate) a plus.Understands the learning methods and needs of the adult learner.Ability to manage and prioritize tasks.Ability to work interdependently, independently with minimum supervision.Ability to work collaboratively within an academic community.Software platform certification and Security certificationMinimum / General Education :
BA / BS in technology related fields, plus two years of relevant experience associated with distance education software, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.Disclaimer :
