Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time BIM Technician.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience as a BIM Technician, with proven expertise in architectural and MEP projects. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of BIM-related software, with the ability to produce detailed models and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degrees, before the time of the interview. Information provided will be handled with discretion and used purely for employment-related purposes, including background checks for various government agency clients.
This position will be full-time, on-site. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for structural, geotechnical, and MEP systems.
- Perform clash detection and collaborate with team members to resolve design conflicts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of model changes and updates.
- Follow established BIM standards and protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
- Create visualizations and renderings to support project presentations.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on BIM tools and practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in BIM software and techniques to enhance modeling efficiency.
- Participate in project coordination meetings to ensure model compliance with project standards.
- Integrate point cloud data and convert scans into BIM models as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a BIM Technician, with expertise in architectural and MEP projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, or similar BIM software.
- Strong understanding of architectural and MEP systems in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with clash detection processes and resolution techniques.
- Experience developing LOD300 models with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of BIM standards, best practices, and federal/state construction regulations.
- Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical capability to navigate project sites, including walking, climbing, and bending.
