JOB RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited to, the following:
- Acting as theConstruction Manager for daily assigned projects, whilst reporting to the Senior Resident Engineer
- Assisting engineers in the coordination of facility forces, includingstakeholders, to further develop work efficiencywith minimal facility operations impact
- Showcase understanding in ongoing construction contracts; assisting the Senior Resident Engineer in administrating policy enforcements through its clauses to complete projects
- Resolve contractor disputes alongside the Senior Resident Engineer
- Oversee field staff, ensuring all functions are properly carried out and documented accordingly
- Review payments from contractors, including providing monthly reports on construction progress andfinancial health to Senior Resident Engineer; addressing potential issues that may arise therein
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of10 years of experiencein handling large-scale management and/or engineering of civil or structural projects, ranging $500k to $5 million plus, in a construction setting
- Professional Engineer licensure (or EIT) in the state of New York and/or New Jersey highly preferred
- A valid driver's license is required for this position
- Minimum of OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC background check at high level
- In addition to night and weekend shift work, ability to stay late or come in early as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel,Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and MS Teams
