This job operates in a Wellness Center, with much of the day spent on the fitness floor and walking throughout the facility. The position will interact with children and adults daily.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Is aware and knowledgeable of current programs and classes within the facility
- Available to answer Members' questions regarding current fitness classes, equipment, and fitness/sports programs
- Conducts Member orientation appointments; supervises Members who are exercising
- Communicates effectively with both current and potential Members
- Leads fitness and sports activities as needed
- Monitors all fitness and sports areas within facility-assures studios are secured when not in use, equipment is stored properly, equipment and floors are clean
- Adheres to all department and facility policies/procedures
- Appropriately redirects youth who are not of age to utilize fitness floor
- Notifies custodial staff when fitness areas need special attention
- Assists in maintaining an ongoing branch retention rate of 60% or better
- Is available to work mornings, evenings and weekends as necessary
- Assists with food distributions (can consistently lift up to 60 lbs.)
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Fitness or Fitness Coordinator
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- State Police Criminal Record Check
- Must complete all training deemed necessary by the organization

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; twist and reach.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds
- Ability to perform al physical aspects of the position, including, but not limited to supervising programs, walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and demonstrating exercises

Education And Experience
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in fitness required
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience with recreational management software required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to make decisive, sound decisions
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills preferred
