What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lego Class Instructor position at Armed Services YMCA of The U S A?
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic Lego Class Instructor to inspire and teach students using Lego as an educational tool. Our ideal candidate has a passion for education and a talent for making learning fun and engaging for students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans that utilize Lego bricks to teach
- Engage and instruct students of various ages in hands-on, interactive lessons
- Monitor students’ progress and adjust instruction based on individual student needs
- Encourage creativity and critical thinking through Lego-based projects
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress
Mandatory Certifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience as an instructor, teacher, or similar role
- Ability to create Lego building plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 2 years leading students of different age groups
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 2 years leading small groups of school aged children
- Must be able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Able to make decisive, sound decisions
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to create Lego building plans
