As a Store Associate at the Armed Services YMCA of The U S A, your primary function will be to assist the Store Manager with all aspects of assigned duties. This includes:
- Assisting customers by answering questions about items and their locations.
- Operating an electronic checkout system to record unit prices, totals, and make change.
- Maintaining stock levels of donated items throughout the store in a proficient and timely manner.
Section B: Financial Duties
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Receiving and verifying cash drawer funds from management prior to opening the store.
- Recording all money collected for sales in the Point-of-Sale (POS) software and annotating the correct amount in the 'Cashier Drawer Slip'.
Ensuring daily credit card balances match daily cash drawer amounts and transmitting batch deposits as needed.
Processing requests to hold merchandise for pickup and ensuring any corrections, including voids, are authorized by the Manager.
Vacuuming floors, cleaning workstations, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms and sinks, and sanitizing carts and baskets.
Additionally, you will have flexible scheduling to accommodate a work week and may be required to tag merchandise and place/hang items in designated areas.
