SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled and creative Cake Decorating Instructor to join our team. Your primary role will be to conduct cake decorating classes, sharing your expertise and knowledge in creating aesthetically pleasing and delectable cakes. The ideal candidate should be highly creative, have a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent communication skills. You should be familiar with a variety of cake decorating techniques, including, but not limited to, piping, fondant application, and sugarcraft.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct cake decorating classes for various skill levels from beginners to advanced students.
- Create lesson plans that cover basic to advanced cake decorating techniques.
- Demonstrate proper use of cake decorating tools and equipment.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of the class environment.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students during practical sessions.
- Organize and prepare materials for each class.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in cake decorating.
- Assist in promoting the classes through social media or other outlets.
Mandatory Certifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or Cake Decorating Instructor (1 year preferred)
- Three (3) years of baking experience (required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with school aged children
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines.

Travel:

Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· 1 year cake decorating is preferred
· 3 years baking experience is required
· Must be able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
· Able to make decisive, sound decisions
· Must possess strong interpersonal skills
