Job Description:
- Assist in performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Scan invoices and other documents and input data into accounting system software
- Payroll entry of work hours, work orders, job numbers and cost codes
- Address vendor and customer inquiries
- Interact with other employees including, purchasing and project management, to resolve accounting-related issues
- Perform other general accounting and administrative duties as requested

Job Requirements:
- General understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with A/P and A/R terminology and practices
- High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Must be focused and reliable to keep up with accounting schedules
- Ability to communicate verbally and via email effectively and in a professional manner
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Excel, Word and Outlook, plus experience with any accounting software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College accounting courses or other advanced, related training is a plus
- One to three years' experience working in an accounting department but will consider recent accounting degree graduates
- Experience working in a construction, contracting or service company is a plus
