Livestock & Poultry Marketing Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for coordinating with other marketers and sales professionals to assists with the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote a product, service or brand. They are responsible for conducting market research, analyzing consumer behavior and trends and identifying target audiences to create effective campaigns that generate revenue.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote products or services with direct livestock, poultry and hoof trimmer customer segments.
• Conduct market research and analyze customer data to identify target audience and market trends.
• With Digital Marketing Specialist collaborate social media content and digital advertising campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, purchasing and other marketing team members to ensure marketing strategies align with overall business objectives.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools.
• Manage relationships with external partners or vendors, such as advertising agencies or printers, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of marketing materials.
• Develop, implement and track marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns, landing pages, flyers, direct mailers, brochures, newsletters and events.
• Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns to teams and vendors.
• Assist in planning tradeshows, buying shows and sales training.
• Write, edit and proof all marketing materials according to the Armor & VSI Brand Style Guide Writing Styles and Abbreviations.
• Develop and manage annual budget needs for marketing campaigns success.
• Work closely with Livestock & Poultry sales leadership on communication and training plans with sales.

Education and/or Experience:

• Requires a 4-year degree in marketing, communications or related field.
• 2 years' experience in agriculture marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of animal health and agriculture is a plus.
• Knowledge of direct livestock production customer segments with focus on dairy and beef cattle, poultry and cattle hoof trimmers.

Language Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, managers and other employees.

Other skills and Abilities: Working knowledge, understanding and interest in livestock production-based agriculture. Knowledge of graphic design and printing preparation including proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator programs. Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis.
