What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Armor Animal Health?
Under the guidance of the Warehouse Operations Manager this associate will be responsible for invoicing all shipments and/or deliveries as well as walk in trades, accurately pulling and packing products shipped to customers, receiving and recording all products. The work environment is very fast paced and the associate must have computer skills. Must be willing to work hard and care about order accuracy and meeting customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Accurately invoice customers for products being shipped using computerized shipping software
Track packages through UPS, Speedee and Fed Ex and review daily exception reporting as needed
Accurately pulling products from shelves
Carefully packaging product to be shipped to our customers
Prepare and load LTL shipments
Match products to packing slips, check expiration dates, watch for special orders and solve any issues that arise regarding shipments Properly match packing slips to purchase orders
Put product into its warehouse location after it is received Label products that are not clearly marked with a UPC code
Unload delivery trucks
Other processes: dusting, sweeping, making cooler boxes, organizing ice packs.
Marginal Functions
Pull and pack store orders and carryout orders for customers as necessary
Assist with inventory and inventory prep
Pack up returns/repairs to go back to vendors
Assist with inventory and inventory prep
Stock shelves with newly received product
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: Requires a high school diploma with courses in math, computer operations, and customer service procedures.
Requires one/two years' experience in shipping or receiving environment.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret pick tickets. Ability to write business correspondence via email. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Other skills and Abilities: Ability to operate a computer, ability to become fork-lift certified, work with minimal supervision, follow directions, and work under pressure. Farm experience and animal health knowledge a plus. Ability to follow directions, prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and work independently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands/ fingers to handle or touch objects; reach above shoulders; talk and hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds up to waist level. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision.
Tools/Equipment Used: Forklift, stretch wrap machine, IPOD, Box knife, push cart, hand jack, two wheel cart, tape gun, and computer.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold/heat conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually mid-level to loud.
Protective clothing/equipment required: Closed toe shoes, gloves when handling sharp or abrasive objects.
Job Type: Part-Time (possibility of transitioning to a Full-Time role)
Monday - Friday (no weekends)
30 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $17.00 - 18.00 / hour depending on experience
