Job Summary
Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator. Primarily responsible for driving dump trucks, and pulling trailers, loading/unloading and securing equipment, as well as operating commercial paving equipment such as bobcat skid steers with various attachments, small rollers, mini excavators, and occasionally assisting with light labor duties.
Qualified applicants should possess the following:
o Willing to work various hours with overtime, some travel if needed, and some weekends if needed.
o Capable of lifting at least 40 pounds.
o Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting. Regular exposure to extreme hot and cold weather.
o Be highly motivated. Self-motivated and willing to work independently.
o Good communication skills, team player, and ability to work well with co-workers at all levels.
o Reliable attendance.
Requirements:
o Must be 21 years or older and will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
o Able to complete electronic logs, and digital timesheets
Responsibilities and Duties
o Loading/unloading trailers.
o Securing equipment and materials on trailer.
o Completing electronic logs.
o Vehicle inspections.
o Participating in safety inspections and training.
o Assisting with job site setup and cleanup.
o Dumping asphalt into paver.
o Pickup and delivery of asphalt and aggregate materials.
o Operating commercial paving equipment: Skid Steer, Rollers, Mini Excavators.
o Perform miscellaneous tasks unrelated to traditional truck driving requirements as requested by project foremen
Qualifications and Skills
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Have a valid class A or class B CDL, and good driving record. Must be able to drive a dump truck and pull trailers. Automatic transmission restrictions will be considered.
o 3 years of CDL driving experience is preferred.
o Equipment operating skills or the willingness to learn equipment operating skills are required.
o Ability to complete electronic logs (KeepTruckin)
Travel Requirements:
Availability for 1 to 2 weeks of travel per season is required
Salary : $17 - $20
